The services at East Columbus United Methodist Church offer a friendly, cheerful place where you can experience a deeper, closer walk with God; an uplifting atmosphere charged with His presence, and Christian fellowship saturated with love. Through song and scripture, E.C.U.M.C. strives to glorify God in all things and constantly point to God and His saving power through Jesus Christ, His Son.
East Columbus United Methodist Church offers a variety of services to fulfill the needs of a busy and diverse congregation. We have two blended Sunday morning worship services starting at 8:30 a.m and 10:40 a.m. During the services you will hear a variety of musical styles represented. Old is combined with new to make for a more well-rounded service. Hymnbooks are used for more traditional songs, and lyrics for more modern songs are projected on a screen.
After the children’s time with the pastor, kids have the option of going to junior church during the remaining time of the service. There are refreshments available after the 8:30 service and before the 10:40 a.m. service to allow people time for fellowship with their church family.
E.C.U.M.C has a very strong Sunday school program with a class for all ages and a variety of interests and styles. The Sunday school time is from 9:40 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. We offer childcare during our services for those who wish to utilize it.
On Sunday evenings, you’re invited to join us for our casual, informal service. Hymns are sung, God’s word is taught, and at times there are also special services such as healing services, special music, guest pastors and singers, special presentations etc. Kids are free to go to out Kid's Club in the Youth Center building if so desired.
On Wednesday Evenings there is choir practice in the choir loft at 6:00 p.m., as well as prayer and Bible study in the chapel at 7:00 p.m. We also offer seasonal services such as Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunrise services. Some of these include things such as choral presentations, drama, or special music. We also have special concerts, revival services and other special services throughout the year. Annually, we have Vacation Bible School for the children of the church and of the community.
We offer optional hearing devices for the hearing impaired as well as an elevator, ramp, reserved parking places, and other things to assist our physically challenged friends.

Morning Services - 8:30 a.m. and 10:40 a.m. – We offer two different a.m.
service times to fit your preferences and needs. Services are blended with the
old and the new to make a service to meet more people’s preferences.
Hymnbooks, projectors, computers, televisions, and other tools are used to
assist in the delivery and the reception of the message.
Sunday Evening Casual, Informal Worship - 6:00 p.m. – Another service option with a more “gospel” flavor, and in a more informal setting. Kid’s Club is available during our evening worship time.

Prayer, Praise, and Bible Study – 7:00 p.m.
